| The Charles Bridge in Prague is justifiably famous for the collection of huge bronze religious statues lining it on both sides, as well a the magnificent views of the city it affords. A few hundred meters away, there's a place you can go up over 70 meters (over 230 feet, or like a 23-storey building) in a sling suspended from a tethered helium balloon. The panoramic views are truly incredible (some to follow, here!) but the balloon itself has come to be part of the landscape, offering an incongruous contrast to the history-rich objects and scenes in the foreground...like in this pic..... |
