Houses of Telc Photo

Photographer’s Note

There are many ways of taking pictures of these pretty houses all in a row. On this one I chose to compress them with a long lens, staying on one side instead of shooting from the front.
Telc is a amazing place in Moravia, but it is a bit difficult to reach because it is off major roads, and signs were somewhat difficult to follow although I had a map of the region handy. Nevertheless after struggling on side roads,I finally reached this place, I already knew from pictures, and stayed a few hours there.
I was perhaps lucky to find an appropriate weather with some puffy clouds, and I tried to combine them with this outstanding Renaissance architecture. Kindly read Telc's history below as taken from Wikipedia. More pictures will be posted in the future days.
Telc contains a castle and a long urban plaza with well-conserved Renaissance houses; since 1992 all of this has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

The builder of the castle was Zachariáš of Hradec, after whom the plaza was named; his name is also related to that of the city of Jindřichův Hradec.

Telč was founded in the mid-14th century; the Roman-style tower for the Holy Spirit proves that there was already a settlement there. The city walls and the Church of the Ascension of Mary are Gothic in style.

Until 1945 Telč had, as did its neighbor Jihlava a mainly German population which has been expelled since.

A fine composition of these wonderful buildings. A pity about the wastebins, which disturbe the picture a bit, on the other hand I guess that's the price you have to pay to get a clean city.

Supersweet composition as I would decsribe it. The horizontal lines strating at the bottom just under the arches, the arches themselves, and the way they all end at the top, with the superb colors and just the right amount of sky with the hint of clouds make this a wonderful composition and a very nice photo.

A well taken shot of these colourful buildings Izzet, and I like how you compressed the perspective with the tele.
I think I'd have liked to have seen a bit more space at the bottom of the frame, with the line of the pavement leading in from the corner. That might have resulted in unwanted element creeping in on the left though, so you probably made the best choice.
The frontal lighting works well, and overall this is very well taken.

I really like your composition and POV here. The angle you chose for this shot is great showing us the facades of these great buildings. The lighting and colors are great with nice sharpness and DOF.

Great shot! The repetition of the shape of the old houses is wonderful, and your use of the telephoto to compress them really emphasizes that aspect. The colour is very good too, bright and vivid! Superb work!

müthiş güzel bir mimari örnek ve bunun kadraja ustaca oturtulması,son derece güzel renk tonları,netlik ve keskinlik mükemmel.binaların dizilişi harika bir ritim duygusu uyandırıyor.ayrıca ışığın nasıl kullanılması gerektiğinede örnek olacak bir kare elinize sağlık.

Hello Mr. Keribar,
Whole day long i've been using my computer, and therefore got dizzy at last, and when i first saw the title, i read it as "Houses of Tezic" and considered about how wealthy Mr. Tezic could be. Well, it made my night for a short while of course, then i reconstructed my conscious and admired the beauties in line. Gorgeous architecture indeed, and you show us here how to give perspective depth even in vertical format. Great colors under great light as well. TFS,

Another gorgeous place, Izzet. I actually like very much the way you compressed all the façades from this angle. A bit tight, but it works for me. Beautiful.

Voıla un endroıt splendıde ou j'aımeraıs me rendre un jour, le poınt de vue est tres effıcace, nous permettant de voır toute une rangee de maısons coquettes aux couleurs sı pımpantes, meme les 2 poubelles ne genent pas trop, avec les 2 paıres d'hommes faısant un peu pendant...
