13 of may 2007 -- huge marathon in Prague which ends in the old city centre. great festival with some wonderful music nearby. that was my first contact with such a great street music. Prague tam-tam Batucada band consists of several drummers and other musicians wearing colourful costumes. band can be accompanied by dancers and singers. they play predoninantly Brazilian samba, but its repertoire encompasses Cuban and African rhythms. uses the techniques of Rio de Janeiro's great Batucada ensembles. I never forget their smiles -- they were doing great music helping runners but they used to have so much fun of it.. great pleasure to meet them on the street of Prague in the very hot sunday midday..
