Vltava River Bank Photo

Photographer’s Note

picture shows fabulous bank of the river Veltawa in the center of Prague. I took that shot from the small terrace opposite to world famous Charles Bridge (Karlův most). fortunatly, I've got great warm sun behind my back, that's why I could get such hreat colours of those buildings. anybody knows, what are those wooden posts in the water for?

czesc thomas,
i think the posts are for protecting the brigde columns. since the river is used for trasportation some ship could just hit the brigde and damage it. also prague is famous for floods and those posts could also protect the brigde from debris being carried away. your picture is great because of the unique composition, and cool lighting.
ps: vltava in cz, is it veltava in pl?

Ależ ładne soczyste kolory. Bardzo ładna kompozycja w przepięknym popołudniowym ciepłym świetle. Ciekawy przedplan z piękną fakturą padających cieni. Znakomita jakość.
