Photographer’s Note

As I've recently promised, I'm leaving cold winter landscapes for today and bring you a warmer view.

The photo is taken in Ctyrkoly on the bank of the Sazava river, just below the hill the St Kliment church is located on. Ctyrkoly is a village about 30 Km south-east from Prague and its name is a bit funny. Literally it means "fourwheels".

I captured the shot in a late evening of a hot summer day, when the low sun painted nicely red shades on the river's surface and bark of the trees in the other bank.

Bonjour Marek,
plein été et sensation de chaleur grâce à cette photo qui nous rappelle que les jour s'allongent déjà et que bientôt il refera doux.
Les couleurs sont superbes et très chaudes par endroits.
Un cadrage très pointu qui nous plonge dans le décor.

Une photo bien différente de tes précédentes. Point de neige ici mais une fôret aux couleurs luxurantes. Les troncs rougis se reflètent agréablement dans la rivière. C'est superbe ! J'aime.

Indeed a nice warm picture. I like the warm light on the trees. The reflections in the lake are also great. A very good capture of this landscape!

Hi Marek,
An oustanding composition that reminds us of the bucolic days of summer. The rich brown hue of the tree trunks resplendent in the sun attracts the eye, enhanced even more by the reflections. The wild flowers in the foreground further balance and add another touch of colour to the greenery. Superb lighting. A great capture, Marek. This is a keeper.

The colours are quite exquisite, the sky is a bit pale but you had to choose between the intensive colours on the woods or the sky: good option!
