Frozen country II Photo

Photographer’s Note

For those of you who found my yesterday's winter scenery too gloomy, here is a brighter and more sunny one. Taken in the same place and in the same time. In fact, they were these two trees that made me turn my car and stop here for taking photos.

I'll come up with something warmer next time. I promise.

Yes Marek, this is frosen country. Same in Slovenija. Nice picture of wintre landscape.

I like this very much! The snow and ice on the tree is delicate and beautiful. Very unusual, and I like the overall colour and feeling as well - despite the cold it has a soft light that makes it very cozy. Well done!

Marek my body is glad for a mild winter but my heart longs for a winter scene to capture the snow and trees like you have shown here. I love the frozen trees and wonderful winter scene here. Very nicely done!

Hi Marek. I think this one might be even better than yesterdays shot which was excellent in its own right. You were able to work that wide-angle and fit everything in just fine. I love that depth. Great shot Marek.

A lovely sunlight is over this snow landscape here. The white trees are also great with the ice and snow covering every small branch. Very well captured and thanks for sharing!

Dobry Den Marek,
A lovely luminous winter view, the diagonal positioning is efficient and strong and I like too how this severely frozen tree boosts the winter atmosphere. Do you get to feel the east cold wave in CZ too, phoned to Minsk yesterday they were below -25 !

An alluring shot, far from gloomy. The simplicity is sublime...I like the way the trees are so clearly defined with their coats of snow. The eye is led along the road well into the frame and the bluish sky really enhances. A very successful shot, Marek.

Hi Marek
Well, if we want find snow we have to the Estrela mountain, is the highest of continental Portugal with 1993m. On the Azores Islands, the Pico Island has 2351m. So you are a lucky one, you have the snow and we the rain (if it rains, this year it seems that will be another dry year: more woodsfires, dead animals in the farms, dead plantations...)
The tree is quite lovely, the path leading the eyes to the horizon. Good white balance and control.

Magnificent landscape. The mix of white and blue is very appealing. Also the amount of contrasting textures brings a lot of details to the picture. Very good use of that line to guide our eyes throughout the photo and positioning of the trees in the frame.

I like the way you framed this shot with the road coming from the corner. What a cold weather. I know Eastern Europa is under artic air but this shot is impressive.
