Photographers Note
The center of Mikulov with its oblong sloping square ranks among the most charming of historical Moravian town centers.
Square is situated just below the castle and its fortification system. On the left You can see the entrance to the castle's gardens.
In the center the fountain with the statue of Pomona is visible. It has graced the square since 1680. Its figural structure allegorically symbolizes a female figure with a shield carrying the Dietrichstein symbol of two vintner's knives and a horn of plenty.
It was taken in the morning, but the sun was already harsh. All i did in PP here was:
-unsharp edges
-adjust contrast

Wow - what a vivid blue! I like the colour of this a lot, with the red roofed buildings really standing out against that sky. Very beautiful.

witam kolegę, kiedyś dawno temu pracowałem w czechach w takim małym spokojnym miasteczku jak mikulov, dażę je wielkim sentymentem i po prostu bardzo ale to bardzo lubię; takie właśnie jak na twoim zdjęciu pamiętam, dzięki za reminiscencje;
podoba się kolorystyka i kadr (pionowy jest very cool);
do jutra, j.

Hi Mat,
Another fine shot from your latest postings. I like the portrait format here to display the square and buildings in all their glory. The lighting is superb and the colours pleasing. The shadowed portion of the shot contrasts so well with the golden light. Very well captured, Mat.

Hello Kebek. It seems to me a photo quite pretty, similar to a postcard. The colors are quite intense and that always calls much the attention. In addition the composition is quite good. The only thing which done a little in lack she is some person in the street, seems a ghost town:) Good work, congratulations.
Yeray.

Hi Mat,
I like this place with these warm colors.
The point of view is pleasing. I like the vegetation covering the building in the background. The composition is perfect with the fountain in the right foreground and the tower in the left background.
What I do not like is the framing : I think that the portrait lets too much space to the empty blue sky. In my opinion, the landscape format is more natural in this case (but may be it is a question of limited focal length in your camera ?).
The fountain in the foreground is beautiful. May be you could have lighten it with the flash, because it is a little too underexposed, although completely visible.
The contrast between the blue sky and the red of the roof is great.
Congratulations !
Amicalement,
Michaël

Hello Mat, it's a very good composition. Maybe in another time of the day you could get an even ilumination. On the other hand, the warm ligth is very interesting.
Regards,
Javier
