Photographer’s Note
Back to the Czech Republic again, back to Moravia Region, back to its heart luring with almost Mediterranean ambience - in the center of Europe.
The approach to historical Mikulov from any direction will present You with a unique panorama and the silhouette of the chateau and Holy Hill - on the very left.
Dominating the skyline is the Renaissance chateau which in its heyday was the residence of the Olomouc bishop, Cardinal Franz von Dietrichstein. In those times - beginning of XVIIth century - Mikulov was the virtual capital of Moravia.

Hi Mat.
the composition of that image is really beautiful, with the plants on the first view and the castle on the top of the hill on the backside.
also the colors are good, but the quality and the focus are in my opinion too poor. also the sky lost color.
thanks, ciao

Hi Mat,
Very nice composition with beautiful warm colours and perfect lighting. I like the natural frame in the foreground. Very well done!

Serwus, Mat !
Another good shot of yours.
I don´t agree with the first critique. The fading colors of the sky just enhance the siluette of the buildings. The effect of the dark colors is good and result in a different and mystic atmosphere.
The slightly out of focus plants in the foregroud do not compromise the good final result. And besides it would be almost impossible to keep such a far scenery in the background and the close plants in the foreground all in good sharpness, considering the available light at that moment.
All in all a pleasant shot.
Best regards,
Celso

Mat -
I like this image and the more I look at it the more I like it. At first I thought the castle/village was too much in the shadows and the sun from the left was a bit too bright. I looked at it in PS and played around with the afore mentioned issues and realized that the image was OK the way it was. My only comment is that some of the foreground elements are a bit too dominating. (That's just my opinion though.)
Well done and thanks for sharing

Very fine, poetic shot with great soft colors. I like your POV. Unfortunately the sunlight was somewhat hard for it.
Anyway, nice work Mat.
