Photographer’s Note

To the north of Mikulov, the ridges of the Palava Hills loom up, formed by pure white jurassic limestone. On the top of the Devin peek
(550 m above sea level) ruins of Divci hrady (Maiden's castle) are located.

I took this photo from Pavlov wine-growing village by the Novomlynske lakes, the largest Moravian water reservoir. It is situated in the vicinity of Klentnice village.

In the forground You can see, very characteristic for the region, roadside shrine.

Bonjour Mat,
Un cadrage que tu aurais pu réaliser un peu plus haut, de manière à réduire l'importance de cette zone sombre.
Le ciel s'en serait trouvé plus joli.
Mais si ces ruines représentent le sujet de la photo, il est normal que tu ais gardé ces proportions.
J'aime beaucoup les couleurs rougeoyantes dans le ciel.

Good sunset! The sky is very delicate and the colour is wonderful. The silhouette of the tower is the perfect accent to the sky. Well done!

Wow, very nice colors and POV. Clouds really finish the shot. The foreground totally blacked out gives it a nice contrast makes a colorfull sky. Great job.

I like the darkness of foreground, might crop about a inch from the bottom for better look, otherwise you captured the light well..

there is something special to me, the colors are so nice, i guess a little bit the building, but it's not easy, depends of the screen. well a very good shoot.

Hey Mat, great photo with the colours in the sky and tha powerful silhouette. I think there is maybe a litle too mch black at the bottom of the photo and think it woudl look better cropped a bit so as to give more emphasis on the sky.

good colours and sharpness i like how the the sun is behind the church putting it in silhouette i feel as though i might have cropped half of the bottom off though
