Photographer’s Note

One of the most charming town of South Bohemia, Prachatice used to be a settlement on the trade route of salt, called "Golden Path" (Zlatá Stezka).

Later, in the XIVth century was modified. It is first mentioned in 1323 as a town with licenses and privileges. After it was burnt down by the Hussites, the growth started again and finally in 1436 Prachatice became the Royal Town.

The Late-Gothic and Renaissance face of the historical centre of the town has been preserved up till this day, because of a long building stagnation.

One of the most important and oldest (XIV th century) monument in Prachatice is St. James' church situated in the corner of the historical square.
My view on this building is from the street parallel to the center of the town yet.
It was cloudy morning, so I was looking for some colours, and what caught my eyes were these typical kind of potted flowers in the breast of a windows - very popular in this part of Europe.
