Photographer’s Note

Today, view from Telc.

Regarded as the most beautiful town of Moravia region.
Registered on the UNESCO's List of World Cultural Heritage in 1992.
Situated in the southwest corner of Bohemian-Moravian highlands, exactly at the midpoint of the ancient provincial route lead from Vienna to Prague.
The oldest reliable information abou Telc is dated back to the period 1333-1335.

This photo was taken at, so called, Belp footbridge (Belpská lávka). The historical Old Town of Telc is surounded by the waters. It makes impression of very solid strategic foundation.
On the left side You can see a part of solid defending walls. Over them rises the single tower of st. James' church, built in the middle of XIVth century. Long yellow building is the former Jesuit Monastery with College and Grammar School ( built from 1651-1655). In the center there is the church of the Name of Jesus (finished in 1669).
