Photographer’s Note

Photographed very late night to get the stark contrast between the darkness of the night and the glow of the Prague's Castle.

Shutter speed was purposly set to very slow to get the smooth water blur on the reflection.

Equipment:
Olympus C-4000Z 4MP digital camera. Velbon tripod. SM card.

Postprocessing in PS 7:
- slightly cropped & resized
- adjusted hues & saturation
- sharpened everything but the reflection

Simply beautiful and romantic. I like the hot color which projects the lights, as well as the reflection on water. Everything's good!

I like the deep black at the top and bottom. Did you adjust it in photoshop to be that way? It seems like there would be more atmospheric glow from all the lights. Anyhow, I like it black.

Preciosa foto, muy buen reflejo de las luces del castillo en el rio. Una foto nitida con colores negro que contrastan con el color oro. No hay nada negativo en esta foto. Felicitaciones.

Hi Nella, This is really a great pic. Such a great contrast of black bacground of the forefront is seldom so beautiful as in your picture. Especially the contrast of the sharp castle with the blured water in front. Very well done ! Thanks for sharing. Cheers, Michael
