Photographer’s Note
I took that picture during my last visit of this magnificent city which is Prague. I was looking for a typical photo composition that generally is found on postcards. An equilibrium between a furnished foreground (the trees on the top and left) and the bridge and castle on the right and center part of the picture. The lighting was favourable for enhancing the shape and details of the bridge (the picture was taken at around 6:00PM). But I felt that it would be nice to use my fill in flash just to give more lights to the leaves shown on top of the picture.

Wellcome to "TE". Is the first time that I see your work. In this "shot" you have a great quality work. Contrast, well management of light, perspective and a real amateur insight. Nice work ! In your place, i would probably choose POV little bit right, i don't like too much leaves at the left side of the photo.
And i think your frame is unapropriate :)

Hello Francois.
I visited Prague a couple of years ago and your photo, which is certainly a picture postcard shot, brings back some great memories.
In terms of composition, the use of the foliage for framing works very well, but I agree with the other comment that shifting the POV a little to the right might give a better balance.
I also think that it would also benefit from some post processing on the background to increase contrast and just lift the colours a bit, particularly the sky. This would increase the visual impact and help focus the eye more clearly on the main, distant subject.
As for the fill-in flash, did you try it with and without to see how the effect varied? I wonder whether a darker framing would again help to provide contrast between the foreground and background.

A dreamy picture of Praha, nice composed with the bridge in the right and the trees around, I also like the soft mood in this shot, nice done, Francois !

Bonjour Francois.
Jolie composition, belle lumiere, joli cadrage.
Et le choix du cadre ajouté est judicieux, puisqu'il laisse la nature faire la moitié du travail.
Beau travail.
Amicalement, Hugues

I liked your note too. Informative. Not just telling where and what is the scene, but a little tip here and there, of how to shoot better. Then again, I'm learning.
