Velehrad is the most important pilgrimage place in the Czech Republic. There is a powerful Basilica of St. Cyrillus and Methodius. My photo shows the cross in front of the basilica with the Pope John Paul II's coat of arms. John Paul II visited this place in 1990. To the memory to this day this cross was set up.

In Velehrad befindet sich ein mächtiges Kloster und auf dem Vorplatz steht dieses große Kreuz mit dem Wappen von Papst Johannes Paul II. Im April 1990 hielt Papst Johannes Paul II. vor dieser Basilika in Anwesenheit von einer halben Million Gläubigen einen Gottesdienst. Zum Gedenken an diesen Tag wurde dieses Kreuz errichtet.
