[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Compared with Prague and Cesky Krumlov, Telc, a sleepy Renaissance town in Southern Moravia, is still being relatively avoided by tourist hords. However, the number of tourists has increased in the recent years, thanks to UNESCO, which included Telc in its World Heritage List. The most famous feature of Telc is without doubt the Zacharias of Hradec Square with astonishing rows of XVI century houses, and Daniel (pastadog) has already posted some photos of it here on TE. However, Telc also has a castle, some very beautiful churches... and fish ponds, just in the town center! Here you see two of the churches reflected in a fish pond. On the left, Kostel Sv. Ducha (Church of the Holy Ghost) with its XIII century partly Romanesque tower, and on the right - the twin towers of the baroque Jesuit Collegial church of XVII century.

Scanned from printed photo. I deliberately didn't sharpen the image in PP, I like the soft feeling about it...

Hi Alexander.

Excellent POV and reflections. Only I think it needs a little more DOF.

Anyway, a great picture.

Rgs, Oscar

Hello Alexander,

Lovely composition that reflects the peacefulness you are talking about in your note. The warm colours are really nice and blends perfectly with the water hue. Excellent reflection.

Have a nice week-end!

André

Hey Alexi,

beautiful catch of a typical Czech town...red roofs and water...well seen and done!

Have a great weekend, Ivana

Zdravo Alexander. Lovely photo. The calm water and the warm sunshine have made this a serene composition.The white walls and the red roofs divide the picture dramatically. Regards, Klaudio

I like the vertical format to include all of the wonderful reflections. The colours are beautiful and so are the lighting conditions you have captured. Nicely done.
Best wishes
Mark

Hi Alexander, good shot, just a litte bit too poor of contrast, but with an amazing reflection on the river and an excellent POV.
good also the focus and the light.
thanks, ciao

You've captured that reflection very well and your composition is good. The sky needs a bit more punch to it, perhaps a polarizer would have improved things.
Good shot nontheless.
Ben

Hi, Alexander
Very striking colorful composition, with soft tonality, pleasant view and reflection. Very well captured

Alana

privjet aljek,
i love those small bohemian towns, exatly as you say - life there looks as if everybody was falling asleep or just woke up a minute ago, the atmosphere is unforgettable;
nice image although i think that less symetrical version would work a bit better;
anyhow, good work,
best, j.

Hi Alexander,
I admire serenity of this shot and how well it expresses the style and spirit of typical South Bohemian or Moravian towns. Taking into account it’s a scan of a printed photo, its technical quality is outstanding. Reddish tint may be a matter of personal taste, but I like it.
Composition could be regarded too central oriented, but it’s difficult to frame such scenery with reflections in another way. Perhaps you could crop out a bit of the sky.

Thanks,
Marek
