Photographer’s Note
...some 30 kilometres northwest from Olomouc is a winding woodland, sprinkled with small villages and overlooked by a romantic castle of Bouzov. It was built in early 14th century.
In 1695 Bouzov was obtained by an order of German knights, but they did not take proper care of it over the following 200 years. Not until the decision of the order grand master, archduke Eugenius, did radical reconstruction take place between the years 1896 and 1901. The project, which was designed by professor George J. Hauberisser of the Munich Polytechnic University, was more or less respectful of the ground plan of old castle, but all similarity with the previous building finishes here.
The new structure, representing the late German Gothic style, abounds in projections, little towers as well as other, in relation to the rest of Czech architecture, very unusual elements. The castle as a whole, however, is an honored setting for filming fairy tales (like Princess Fantaghiro).
The grounds also include a 6.38 hectare park (created at the turn of the 20th century) and the neo-Baroque Chapel of the Virgin Mary (1910) situated at the entrance gate to the park...

Hello Ivana,
definitely a place to visit if ever there. Nice light and point of view to even capture the people on the bench. The details stand out very well and colours enhance the appeal of the composition. Nice work :-)

Ivana,
Great shot of this fine castle. Your composition is nice using the gate to lead the eye into the shot with the people on the bench adding scale. The lighting and colors are fine with nice sharpness and detail.

Hello Ivana,

Hello Ivana,
I like the square format, because gives a great balance to the composition. Colors and sharpness are really excellent, and the presence of the couple on the bench gives a great sense of life. Well done.
Warm regards

Hey Ivana,
A lovely capture of this nice and old castle. The light is very appealing and brings out some fine, attractive colours. I like the calm atmosphere of the place and the inclusion of the people was excellent. Thanks for sharing!

Hello Ivana,
I see i have a new fan...thank you ;-)
I picked this one because of it's wonderful deep red colour setting which brings out a very good contrast to the softer blue sky, but also how you set this up in framing and timing with the woman under the gate and the two on the bench...they bring the image alive and light on the two on the bench is very good....a strong image.
Take care,
henk
