Photographer’s Note
Some weeks ago I uploaded a photo of Stramberk, a delightful village in Moravia, eastern Czech Republic. Here is another view of the central square. Some of the buildings and cars can be seen in the bottom right corner of my previous upload. On this gleaming summer day, a group of schoolkids and their teachers were enjoying an excursion to this lovely, unspoilt town, and we watched them enjoying themselves innocently around the fountain and in the shade of the trees while we sat on the terrace of the hotel across the street, drinking pivo.

Hello Andrew,
I like the composition and perspective her and the view over this lovely town square. There is a distinct lack of sharpness but this is compensated by the nice light and colours.

I don't think it's blurred (although maybe a tad more USM would give it more bite), but I agree with Michal about the balance of the composition.
I think shifting the framing to the left so that the fountain was fully in-frame, and the lampost was nearer the right edge would would give it a better balance. Also, I think if you were a bit closer to the fountain, cutting down on the foreground, the shot would have worked better.
On the plus side the light is good, and there's some interesting detail.
Cheers,
Ben

I've been on vacation in Pelhrimov.
It's a lovely place to be and your picture shows the typical streets over there.
Thanks for sharing

It's very interesting compositionally, so to say, very interesting. Lot of objects and they all interferent in some way. Good shot.

Hi, Andrew, Nice little slice of small-town life you show here. The sunshine and blue sky over cobblestone streets present an idyllic picture. If you don't mind my asking (sorry, I don't get out much), what is "pivo?"

I agree that the fountain should have been completed :-), but the details are good and the place very well shown.
Good quality for details and colors.
I like it

I was first drawn to the fountain and the two people gathered around it but I then started to notice the very cool architecture along the street. I love your perspective as it has great depth. Your polarizer really made the sky pop too.

Hi Andrew--Interesting slice of life in Stramberk because of the students and teachers. In addition, for me the most striking thing is the lack of signage. Your shot is spot on sharp. Easy to overdue the "clutter", if you will, in a scene such as this but I think you presented it very well.

Hello Andrew. I follow your Excursion and regard the photo with pleasures. It shows an affectionate scene on a beautiful summer day. This kind of houses and places are well well-known me from my attendance in Tchechien. There is also still the same architectural style in parts close to the border of Bavaria. The photo is beautifully, outstanding composed and worth seeing. Best regards, Wolfgang.

Hi Andrew,
Wonderful daily life capture of the children gathering in the beautiful village park. The colors are very clear and contrast execellently. The details cobblestone street and the intricate building are remarkably sharp.
Regards, Tom
