Photographer's Note
I believe I've mentioned it before that the city of Brno was an unexpected surprise, a pleasant surprise.
There's plenty of shopping, restaurants, cafe's, a huge castle to explore which we did, there are a couple of tall city lookout viewpoints to choose from, and the architecture is beautiful.
This photo is of a shopping center, the front of its store. I've included a couple of WS photo's for other pov's, one in the blue hour too.
Even the locals were surprised we visited :)
Talking at length to a cab driver, he was shocked that we'd come to his city. He says Brno is a city more so for its university students, tourists don't usually arrive here. He asked us "why are you not in Prague"?
Well, Prague was our next destination, but not before Brno.
Enjoy your day everyone

Hey Craig
I'm back after a few laptop issues so apologies for not commenting earlier.
Now I can see that Juan and others are going to have to up their game! You are moving in on their territory with this one! This is exactly my kind of POV and modern architecture shot and you looked UP!
Nice shot

Hello Craig,
You found a challenging POV that makes us see the clouds pretty nicely reflected in the glass façade. This is definitely not a postcard, but I rather enjoyed the more postcardish workshop photos too, since they show us the interesting architecture of the square more in detail. I think they managed to integrate new architecture very nicely among the older buildings.
Best regards,
Gert

Hi Craig,
I think it's a very unusual image. The milky glass panels look absolutely mat but there are clouds reflecting in them. The perspective with the clouds on top is great too but I was chiefly attracted by that classic looking part of the roof guessing what it was doing on a modern building like this. Then I saw the workshop and wow, how on earth and why did they squeeze it in there? Sort of extravagant idea:))
Best wishes

I see you've found a bit of modern architecture to tide you over in Central Europe, Craig :) Fascinating image, as the reflections of the clouds seem to continue the sky through the full shot. The little gaps and bursts of color break the scene up well. Glad you enjoyed Brno - always nice to go somewhere where the locals are surprised to see you, really makes you feel a touch of discovery!

Un étonnant mélange d'ancien et de moderne dans l'architecture de cette ville. J'ai une préférence pour le WS à l'heure bleue en ce qui me concerne.

Hi Craig
an inspired POV and composition this. Love the effect and the compelling nature of the lines with the heavens reflected on the flat surfaces. Your usual amazing eye for the unusual and a creative presentation. Real quality imagery!
Have a marvellous weekend - Brian.
NB I am not ignoring everybody in the forums, but my virus software keeps warning me that it is a dangerous place to visit!

Hi Craig,
A fine title and an interesting story too! But I quite agree - why should we only visit the "interesting" places which the guidebooks or the "experts" tell us to visit? Far better to wander around, explore and decide yourself what you wish to see!
You've given us three wonderful photographs of this interesting building and I certainly can't decide which I prefer because I like them all.
Your main picture is a novel view of the building, looking skyward with your wide "city" lens. It has some lovely light and soft reflections as well as a fine "graphic" quality to it.
A more sober daytime photograph shows this building in its surroundings with an incredible amount of detail. And I love your "blue hour" shot with this same structure beautifully illuminated.
A trio of excellent photographs, each of which demonstrates your keen "eye" as well as your painstaking and excellent technical skills in photography and processing.
Fabulous!
Kind Regards,
John.

Hello Craig,
The two WS's gave a good idea about the surrounding of this facade, amid old-town houses and with a wide square in front.
Chosen POV in special, by all means, show well reflecting clouds from aloft.
Fine taken shot.

Hello Craig
Oh yes, going of the beaten path can be so satisfying, even if not many people understand.
Great perspective and POV in this one. There are a lot of graphical elements in this one and I don't know why but I just love the corner of the older building peaking in here.
have a good weekend

Ciao Craig,
POV vertiginoso col quale hai creato un bellissimo effetto grafico.
Sono molto belle tutte queste finestre protese verso il cielo in un magnifico effetto prospettico. Eccellente la qualità dello scatto.
Un carissimo abbraccio
