Photographer’s Note
This picture was taken in the centre of the village Zubrnice (ger. Saubernitz). Some buildings of the village are now a museum, the 'Muzeum lidové architektury Zubrnice' (Museum of people's architecture). Some buildings were brought from other parts of northern Bohemia. The baroque well in the foreground is from 1695 and stood originally in the village Střížovice (ger. Strisowitz), and is now a symbol of the museum.
I've got a very personal relationship to this museum because a small building of the farm of my father was brought here. The village where my father lived does not exist any more because of lignite-mining.

Hello Roland,
I visited Zubrnice this summer too and it is a very interesting place. You managed to place in one shot the most important parts of the museum and it´s great that there are no people in the photo. I tried to make some shots too but there were people or the cars passing all the time so I wasn´t so successful as you.
Thanks for sharing,
Markéta
