Karlstejn Castle Photo

Photographer’s Note

High Gothic castle founded in 1348, which has a unique position among Czech castles. It was built by Czech King and Roman Emperor Charles IV as a place for safekeeping of the royal treasures, especially Charles's collection of holy relics and the coronation jewels of the Roman Empire. The castle has never been conquered.

Michael,
This is a great shot of this fine castle. Your composition is nice using the angle created by the different levels of the buildings to create direction in the shot. The lighting and colors are great with excellent sharpness and detail. The clouded sky helps bring out the colors and detail of the buildings and landscape.

Hallo Michael!
What a sight - what an impressive building! I like the allover composition here. This photo is another proof that sunshine isn't necessary at all for a good picture. The photo has a somehaw very special atmosphere. I like it very much!

Michael,Amazing tower and castle . Wonderful sky. . Very good capture. Original frame composition is nice using the angle created by the different levels of the buildings to good long perspective Good PoV create in the shot.

Fairyland image!
Well-captured image under a cloudy sky!
I may imagine, centuries ago, soldiers bivouacking, because of the treasures and protecting high officials. Impressive architectural characteristics of the castle!
