Karlov Most - Charles Bridge

One of the most touristic places in Prague; street painters and vendors fill up the scene with life and colors.

In 1357, Charles IV started with the construction of this bridge, as some years before, the old one collapsed.

Until 1683, no statues were found along the bridge; first one was of St. Nepomuk, more 'joined' him. Today some 30 look down on the pedestrians.

The weather wasn't very bright, I can't offer you a nice sky!

pas grave pour le ciel. il donne de la force aux couleurs. la statue semble montrer à ces personnes cette superbe cathedrale.

Bonjour Knut,
Le ciel n'est pas toujours avec le photographe, mais qu'importe, ce qui compte souvent c'est le sujet. Vous avez parfaitement capturé cette ville en pleine animation. Le cadrage est très bien réalisé avec cette statue au premier plan qui semble désigner la cathédrale.

Great view of the Castle of Prague from the famous bridge. Excellent sharpness, great colors and lighting. I like how you use the people to add dynamic, life and motion to your shot. Great job.

Hi Knut,
I know this very touristic place. Actually, it's a very well known place.
Your shot is very well captured, with a good composition. I like the people in foreground and the statue pointing to the cathedral. No need of a nice sky. The atmosphere is very nice like that. The dark statue make it a marvellous B&W contrast.

Really good, very good composition. Also the light adds a good perspective (the most far places have less contrast and creates a good perspective).
