Photographer's Note

Certovka (Devil's Stream) is an artificial canal that separates the island of Kampa from the Lesser Town mainland. It was dug by the Knights Hospitaller from the neighbouring Grand Priory at the Church of Our Lady under Chain in the Middle Ages to provide stream for mills in the Lesser Town. The island of Kampa was created this way. Three of the mills at Čertovka are still preserved and two of them retained the millwheels.

It is charming place, the view from the Charles Bridge.
