Photographer's Note

This is the third of a new series with 10 captures from Prague I made in the year 1988.
While searching for some slides in my archive I've found them and noticed that I didn't post any captures from Prague yet.
This and coming 7 entries are been scanned from 35 mm Ektachrome slides, therefore the quality may not be as perfect as it should be. But still some nice pictures made almost 25 years ago from this beautiful city at Vitava.
I hope yoU'll like them.

Bu kare, 1988 de Prag’da çektiğim resimlerden oluşacak 10 karelik bir dizinin üçüncüsü .
Arşivimde bir resim ararken geçti elime, ve de TE’ye bugüne değin Prag’dan hiçbir kare yüklemediğimi gördüm.
Bu ve gelecek 7 kare, hepsi 35 mm Ektachrome diapozitiflerden tarandı, dolayısı ile kaliteleri çok iyi olmayabilir. Ancak 25 sene evvel Vitava nehrindeki bu güzel şehirde çekilmiş bu kareleri de beğeneceğinizi umuyorum.

Une bonne prise de cette superbe porte massive bien décorée. La présence du personnage donne de la vie et de la couleur.

Hello Mesut,
as I see you´ve reached for older photos in your gallery.The photo is great,both when it comes to the subject you present to us here,as well as the overall quality of it(hard to believe it was scanned from a negative).Excellently composed and framed scene.
Nice to evoke memories from older trips.

Hallo Mesut,
auch wenn ich denke, das Foto sollte links und oben stärker beschnitten werden, es gefällt mir trotzdem sehr gut. Ein prachtvolles Tor, und die Tür ist mit einfachen Holzbrettchen repariert! Das sieht nach 25 Jahren bestimmt ganz anders aus. Schön, dass Du eine Person mit roter Mütze als Model gefunden hast!

Bonjour, cher Mesut,
Oh ! une bien jolie présentation d'une porte monumentale joliment ornée. Le cadrage est excellent pour valoriser l'aspect architectural et le travail de sculpture "dentelle".
Et puis, il y a cette tache de couleur qui vient magnifier l'ensemble.

I like these wonderful entrance, certainly the lovely decorative architecture around the arch.
Also the watch to the rightside makes these picture attractive.
Sharpness and clarity be superb.
Lovely composition, excellent presentation.

Hi Mesut,
it is interesting to see older photos on TE and compare with recently taken pictures. I guess not much have changed in a situation like this but it is still a good shot. Very impressive entrance details, eye-catching red colors and an overall good quality of this old Ektachrome slide, Tfs!

Merhaba Mesut,

I am in Erzurum now. Good sharpness & graphism with the people adding scale & context. Excellent sharpness and light contrasts. I like the warm vs cold colour contrast between the red & blue. Tfs!

Wow, Prague one year before the fall of communism in Europe! The person with the red hat and bag isn't yet aware of the great changes that lie ahead :)
You present us here a very beautiful corner in the old town with a richly adorned door. The facade at the right also looks interesting.

A pleasent scene with all the right elements as the human fig serves as a good anchor wisely placed to the prominent subject matter. There's an excellent contrast created as we get to enjoy the beauty of the doors. Well done
