Photographer's Note

During my visit Prague I took a boat excursion along the Vltava River. It gave an opportunity to look at the city under a new angle.

In the foreground of this picture you see the Vltava with Boat Hotel (boatel) Matylda at the left and Jiráskův most (bridge).

In the background there is a part of the Prague’s district Nové Město (New Town), where at the past there was the settlement Zderaz. From the left to the right you see the following:
– colorful buildings at the Jiráskovo náměstí (square),
– partly seen red-roofed Kostel svatého Václava na Zderaze (Church of St. Wenceslas on Zderaz) at the corner of Resslova and Dittrich streets,
Milunić and Gehry's Dancing House, and
– buildings along Rašínovo nábřeží (Rašín's Riverbank).
