Photographer’s Note
The Charles Bridge is a famous and historic bridge over the River Vltava in central Prague. The construction began in 1357 under the auspices of King Charles IV and finished at the beginning of the 15th century. It was the most important link between the Old City and adjacent areas until 1841. Also, this link, "solid-ground, made Prague important commercial hub in the road between the eastern and western Europe. The bridge was originally named "Stone Bridge" or "Bridge of Prague and the 1870" Charles Bridge.
The bridge has a length of 516 meters and almost 10 meters wide, and supported by 16 arches. The bridge is decorated with 30 statues and sculptures, most of which date back to 1700
