Photographer’s Note

Pardubice - colourful houses on the little and quiet Werner square. Very nice place for a walk which offers typical Czech renaissance and baroque architecture.

The shot was taken in a full shade and I used shadow - highlight command to retrieve details hidden in the dark parts.

It's a great, great one !
I really like the way you've framed, all is very well thought and nothing is left to chance.
The bench is perflecty placed in the composition to catch the eyes, the drooping branches are very elegant and underline the architecture.
The colors are very stunning and make a luminous image.
The fine quality reveals many details. You did an excellent work.

I have been driving across this place (and stopped for a cesnochowa..garlic soup in its surrondings) heading for Bruntal.
so I missed this colourful pleasant and peaceful square.

Wow, love the colors here. So well balance between the nature and architecture. Love the POV, including the tree and all the falling leave, and such a pleasant composition using the tree to frame this beautiful image. Light is nice and soft, no hard edges. Wow, these houses look like they're from candyland. It's great that you included the bench on the left and the fallen leaves as well, giving this photo more or a story.
It's a well composed photo, but i think you might have over done it on the highlighting, as it feels a bit flat (like a painting) and not a photo.

Ahoj Romano, perfektne zkomponovane, krasne oramovane stromem, lavickou a domy. Jedinou vadou je mozna ze je to uz malinko prehnane s tim shadow -highlight protoze to ztratilo na nejakem tom kouzle. Ono obcas neni na skodu nechat nekde trosku stinu.

mej se moc hezky a diky za krasny komentar. Urcite o vikendu vyraz nekam fotit, je tedka podzim plny barev.

What a pretty scene.
You have chosen a good pov with the bench well placed in the frame.
The tree's branches and overhanging leaves, lead the eyes nicely to the pastel coloured houses.

What can I say that hasn't been said about this photo? Apart from showing a great scene, perfect composition and beautiful color, it gives me a sense of a fairy tale world, an escape from real world when you need some peace and quiet. That bench is really inviting to just sit down and think about life, universe and everything.

This is a beautiful and colourful image. You've chosen a very good POV and I like very, very much this well balanced composition. It is curious to note the complete absence of shadows, which increases the appearance of a watercolor painting that, in some ways, this image has. Excellent take. Congrats!

The tranquility that breath from this wonderful autumn scene is just wonderful. It is very well composed and your use of the shadow/highlight feature in photoshop really worked to get the details back. I also like how the branches frame the top of the photo.
