Photographer’s Note
Today I took a picture of Kunětická hora - castle not far from my home.
Kunetická Hora - the castle is built on the hill created by volcanic powers.
Archaeological research dates the original construction to the mid-14th century. The greatest reconstruction was undertaken by the Pernštein family in the years 1491-1548, which resulted in the creation of a massive double-towered castle with an ingenious fortification system. At the end of the Thirty Years War the castle was severely damaged by Swedish troops. Partial reconstruction of the castle didn’t occur until the 1920’s; the work was designed by D. Jurkoviče and continued after the conclusion of the Second World War. With a little bit of luck visitors can see all the way to the ridge of the Krkonoše Mts. from this dominant landmark in the Pardubice area.

Romana,
This is a nice shot of the castle on the far hill. The flowered field makes for a good lead in for the shot. The lighting and colors are fine with excellent sharpness and DOF. The placement of the castle is good allowing us to see it's view.

Hi Romana!
I like the composition and the colormixture.Great depth with these uncountable yellow blossoms in the foreground and a nice view at this castle.
On my screen it looks a bit pale, that`s why I tried a ws.
But nevertheless it`s a great shot and a nice place.
Regards,Leo

Dominika

Hi Romana,
very nice vertical framing. This option brings an interesting dof, meaning effective one :) There are two great focal points which are the flowers and the 'little' castle on the back. I prefer to say both are main subjects. Very nice natural colors and sharpness. Well done!

Hello Romana,
I think you have composed this very well!
I like the way you have used the field of dandelions as your interesting lead in. Then the eyes climb to the off-centre, dominant castle, a great focal point!
Good, natural colours.
Kind regards,
Bev :-)
Many thanks for your warm comments on 'See The Lakeland Hills from Latterbarrow'.

Hi Romana,
I realise that your waiting for spring is over and that you celebrate it with this lovely spring picture. Dandelions might not the most appreciated flowers but a spring meadow full of dandelions is a wonderful photo subject. The castle on the hill in the background makes it a perfect composition. TFS and have a nice evening!
Cheers,
Ulf

Romanaa,
lovely spring time shot wit all the Taraxacum in the foreground leading to the castle isolated on the top of the hill and well placed off center. I might have focused in on a single flower in the foreground and placed the castle even more in the top of the image, somewhere in the upper 1/3, but that would be my own style ;-)

Hi Romana, I like this image as it is, although tend to agree with carper. I think the flowers are more interesting than the sky in this image so perhaps pointing the camera down further to include more flowers and leaving the castle in the top third would have worked well. cheers, Steve

Hello Romana,
You have a very good eye for composition. This is an unusual perspective, presenting so much of the the field of flowers, and the Kunětická hora - castle in the distance, and completely isolated. I must admit, until a few months ago I had no idea the Czech and Slovak were different languages. But when my book 'Math and the Mona Lisa' was translated into both languages, I noticed the difference is the accent symbols used in Czech, but not Slovak.
Have a good weekend,

Hi Romana,
Beautiful picture this one too. It's a very colourful and nicely captured scene. Maybe you could try a WS version cropping and placing the castle in the upper right corner.

well madam
this image is good but the choice of canvas is far from good...
actually this vertical frame does better in portrait shots & not in landscapes
the span of the vastness of the nature which you tried to capture here is lost somehow...
