Photographer’s Note

Do you consider Prague the only city worth visiting in the Czech Republic? Then you are wrong. And even if you name Cesky Krumlov or Kutna Hora in addition to Prague, you are still wrong. There are many more lovely historical towns here and Litomysl is one of them.

I've found it out last week and even for me it was quite surprising, how beautiful Litomysl is. We Czechs know Litomysl mainly from the school as a birthplace of Bedrich Smetana, one of the most important national composers of the 19th century and an author of symphonic poems Ma Vlast.

I drove through Litomysl a couple of times, but because the road leads outside the city centre, I did not actually see it until the last Thursday. I hope you will enjoy the next couple of photos as I've enjoyed real Litomysl.
