Photographer’s Note

The Adrspach-Teplice Rocks are an unusual set of sandstone rock formations, covering an area of 17 km² in northeastern Bohemia, Czech Republic. They are named after two nearby municipalities: Adrspach and Teplice nad Metují. The rocks have been protected as a national nature reserve since 1933 and the whole adjacent region of Broumovsko has a status of protected landscape area since 1991. Tourist may visit them on a number of marked trails. The area is also a popular destination for rock climbers.

Very interesting place...17km squares...Huge!.
Definetely an interesting place to visit,from all points of views.
Hard enough to make some good pictures...the rocks are pretty tall.

Hi Krzysztof,
Looking at the height of mosses, I guess water rises up in some seasons and leaves the walking pathway under water. Or is there any other reason for mosses to be such high?
Very impressive place surrouding by high mossy rocks. I like narrow pathway dissappearing between the rocks. People standing there is a great for understanding the huge dimensions of place.
Red haired lady is also perfect for contrasting green mosses :)

A good capture of these interesting rock formations. The people provide a good sense of scale. A pity about the over-exposed area top centre; otherwise good tones and clarity.

Witaj Krzysztofie,

Byłam tam dwa razy i to nawet nie tak dawno. Jedno z moich pierwszych zdjęć na TE było podobne do tego. Ale ponieważ nikt nie oglądał, więć kiedys wszystkie takie zdjęcia zlikwidowałam. Wspaniałe miejsce, bardzo mi się tam podobało, chyba wszystkie ściezki tam przeszłam. Czekam na dalsze relacje. Pozdrawiam po majówce

Hello Krzystof, lovely shot, It really shows the scale of the rocks. Ilike the moss growing up the side, shows just how damp it gets here. Pity about the over exposure at the top of the rocks, maybe this would be an ideal use for HDR manipulation.

olá, great place! it is a pitty because i lived in Prague for a few months and i travel during that time through Czech Republic but i didn´t know about this place. maybe nex time i will visit. Thanks for sharing. pedro

Witaj Krzysiu,
piekne te skaly i okolica, tyle ze zwykle bardzo zatloczone. Ja tez tam kiedys bywalem. W tym miejscu bardzo trudno zrobic dobre zdjecie, wiem cos o tym ;o) ale Tobie udalo sie to calkiem dobrze, pomimo trudnego swiatla.

Ech wspomnienia... byłem tu w sierpniu ub. roku. Widzę że długi weekend miałes udany. Ładny kadr, chociaz niebo się wypaliło. Też miałem duże problemy w wielu miejscach tego parku skalnego aby uzyskac prawidłowe naświetlenie całego kadru

voici un endroit tout à fait surprenant et sans l'ombre d'une fenêtre.
Une exposition pas facile qui se traduit par une surexposition du ciel, cela pour pouvoir préserver les détails des zones plus sombres.
Un cadrage et un format qui rendent bien l'aspect imposant de ces rochers.
