Photographer's Note
This photo was taken at the Krivoklat Castle, the same Castle you see in the photo i uploaded a few days ago.
The door is actually the entrance to the castle but i didn't notice the beauty of the scene because of the direction we were walking.
It wasn't until we were leaving the Castle, and walking towards the exit with this exact POV that i noticed the elegant light striking the open black/red door.
Couldn't resist taking a few photo's for myself. Hope you like it.
Have a great Sunday everybody
Cheers
Craig

Hello Craig,
A very nice door. I understand you didn't notice it at first since it was probably already open. The light falls very nicely on the coarse wall. I like the faded grey and yellow tones and the equally faded bricks.

I love those little surprise moments where you stumble on a great shot you missed completely the first time around. You made good use of the opportunity - the light is perfect here, which really brings out the reds in the door and the bricks and casts an amazing glow inside the vestibule at the side. Great use of a single light source to give mood and depth.

Its a very well composed photograph. The vertical lines breaks the picture into three parts and they are conjoined at the ground by the solid cobblestone passage.
From the left - the door - well lit with beautiful metal framing and artwork opens to the central part that has a small arched open cavity ...Below it, the plaster has peeled off and the red bricks have been very well captured. The third section continues with the play of light and shade. The withering of the plaster off the walls with the passage of time has been taken in detail. Yes it is a beautiful composition that we would'nt usually notice since it is the entrance ..
Thanks for sharing.

Ps you may not need spare shoes if you visit and shoot with Lisa, I took her to a few of my favourite spots which tend to be coastal and very tidal :) Next time I visit Oz I hope to go with Lisa to her favourite haunts, which judging by today's post may be a graveyard :)

Hi Craig,
what a nice suprice to discover the front of this elegant door! I am a big fan of forgings and forgings products( I am manufacturing metal furniture for myself in a small scale)You handled the light in an excellent way here(RAW?)the sunlight lifts the shadows in the exit and enhances the red color in a beautiful way. Well done!
Have a nice evening.

Hello Craig,
There is real beauty in this shot. I think it is the balance of architectural shapes and the way that the light is striking the door and stonework. The colours are both rich and subtle picking out fine detail. A super observation that has been very well realised - excellent.

Hi Craig
Yes, I spotted this castle door right away and was busy taking many photos of it while I remember you passed it by. But you managed to find the best POV here. And I must give you credit for noticing this amazing lighting and getting the best composition. It really paid off in this photo!

Hi Craig
This is one of your HDRs that I absolutely adore. The lighting is really moody here and I don't think you would have got that type of drama without the HDR. The saturated colours and textures are also magnificent and the tight framing works so well. Congratulations matey, you did good!
Have a great day...evening...whichever it is over there :)

Hello Craig,
very nicely composed and framed, good light management. I live near the castle and I walked through this gate many times, but I never noticed this beautiful view.
There is only one mistake - please correct region from "Jihocesky" to "Stredocesky".

Hi Craig,
Definitely well spotted lighting, it gives such a nice, warm tone and creates good contrast of yellow and red. The textures are amazing and sharp. The simplest of things have always been some of my favorites, and this is a great example of that. I'm sure most people would have passed this by and thought nothing of it, but you've done a superb job capturing such great atmosphere. Very well done!
Cheers,
Jason
