Cesky Krumlov, a photo from Jihocesky, Bohemia

Photographer's Note

I visited many beautiful places during my last trip, among them eight Unesco Sites, but may be most I liked Cesky Krumlov. I was enchanted with its atmosphere and beauty. Sometimes I felt a bit like in Asia, as Asian tourists were dominating, but I was delighted going round there and every corner invited for a photo. And in fact, I have a few hundreds and i like many of them. Difficult to choose. Maybe I show just a few. This is a standard postcard, the view from the castle on the city and Vltava river. In this area the rafting and kayaking is very popular and you can rent something.
And when I see Vltava, I hear at once in my mind

czerwone dachy i wspaniałe panoramiczne ujęcie.Widok piekny,jeden z tych,które chyba nie mogą się nie podobac.Znakomita ostrosc oraz głębia.Bardzo podoba mi sie równiez kontrast pomiędzy czerwonymi dachami a zielonym drugim planem.Zywe i dobrze nasycone kolory sprawiają,ze ten kontrast naprawdę wygląda niesamowicie.

What a beautiful town this is. Your photo looks like something out of a fairytale picture book. Excellent chromatic rendering and contrasts. The architecture is so cute, reminiscent of Lilliput. Beautiful shot, congratulations.

Ya another great shot indeed! Outstanding vivid color you preset. Very vivid but not so bright but very delicate and attractive, that seems to be magic for me. F6.3 work very good to preserve deep exposure. Thanks for your shring with great posting and have a good day!

This lovely town looks great from high point, Malgo, with all the red roof-tops (a bit too enhanced red tone), and green forest far back to contrast well the image.
Looking onto detail, the town built as a marvelous labyrinth.

Hello Malgorzata,
A very nice postcard, absolutely perfect. The houses and their red roofs are very pretty and the church really dominates the town. The hills in the background are fantastic. This looks a lot like a medieval painting and basically this town looks like there have been no major changes for several hundred years. Is it better than Sighisoara?

your photo pops!
the rusted colored rooftops are the highlight of the scene.
all the colors are so vibrant, especially when combined with the greens and blues in the upper bg.

Amazing colors in this photo. Very pleasing composition with the little town with its big church as center point, the pleasing rolling hills and a nice sky round this one nicely off.

Such beautiful light ! The bright an vivid colours are well expressed. The photograph has rooftops that are sharp and clear. The cluster with a few white roofs scattered about is really a very good capture. Equally beautiful is the light on the greenery on the background - beyond the end of the town.

Czesc Malgorzata,
wspaniale swiatlo i znakomita obrobka nawet jesli nie do konca swiadoma (pamietam o ustawieniach Twojego aparatu). Kolory super intensywne i jak najbardziej naturalne. Platanina dachow jest super ciekawym tematem i gszies pomiedzy nimi przebija sie wieza kosciola. Przejrzystosc niesamowita pozwala dostrzec detale krajobrazu na horyzoncie.
Pewnie odliczasz juz godziny do wielkiego safari :)

As your shot shows, such picturesque red-roofed blocks can be seen not only in Prague, but also in other parts of Czech Republic. Especially I like that the city in your shot is surrounded with beautiful green hills. A very good point of view, well-balanced composition, beautiful colors and perfect quality of the shot!

Hi Malgorzata,

It has been a very long time since I was in Cesky Krumlov (16 years now!) but I remember it well; one of the most beautiful places I've ever been. Your photo captures it, exactly - the sea of red roofs, the beautiful hillsides, the haphazard layout - the only thing missing is the castle, and that is possibly because this shot was taken from it? Either way, a beautiful landscape and cityscape.

Beautiful indeed this city. Did you push the colors of the roofs or is this the real color? The contrast with the greens at the bg is just delightful.
