A Medieval Town View, a photo from Jihocesky, Bohemia

Photographer's Note

This is the famous little medieval town called Cesky Krumlov in the Czech Republic. On my recent visit here, I found this popular view point which overlooks the town. So unfortunately this isn't an unique view as it is filled with dozens of other tourists taking photos at the same time. Still in this photo you can see why this town has been added to the UNESCO World Cultural Heritage List since 1992. I certaintly wasn't disappointed exploring this little town.

I have never visited this city but I think it must be a beautiful old city with fantastic architecture, excellent photo, perfectly done

oh yes, the tourists at this lookout point where large in numbers! but then again, we were one of them too! :)
the photo turned out perfect, such lovely colors, lighting and of course the subject is A+.
can honestly say i dont have any complaints about the scene you've captured, excellent!

We are so far away from Europe.....we never see towns like this one. I like..... in particular the two towers... so different to each other.
You found a very appropriate POV and came up with nice colours.

This is another city on my must visit list Tosca. The crowds of tourists aren't in your photo so they don't sp[oil the beauitufl scene - well captured.

A glorious capture of the colourful roof tops. rising like elegant steps towards the pinnacle. Excellent clarity.
Even tough it was beyond your control, I love how the jet streaks follow an opposing diagonal.

A captivating scene that brings this medieval town to life and great control of highlights and shadows. A colorful sight and so charming one could easily spend the whole day here, absorbing the atmosphere of an old era at the same time. I like the format, pov, depth, textures and some strong vivid colors that make this such a beautiful place to photograph. It captures the character, charm and uniqueness, something can be proud off by the town dwellers well preserved and maintained this way. The blue sky and the touches of green and reds add the visual impact as a whole. Fine effort and real cool! Well done. Congrats

This is a beautiful view to the old town of Krumlov. This is a really excellent photo, and is a good example of cityscape mode. The great light on the red roofs and the blue sky color in the background also lends a lovely contrast to the scene. Very well done!!!

beautiful postcard like photo. Exactly as I like it.
The colors are so well saturated and yet very natural. The sky so blue. The trail of the plane in the sky adds a nice diagonal behind the tower. The architecture seem so rich and interesting. I have never actually heard about this town before and now I am very much motivated to visit it some day.

I commented on Malgo's picture a while bak from the same place. This POV seems to be from the opposite side, where we get a better view of the large turret of the castle. Well saturated colours with good contrast between the red tiled roofs & the blue sky. Fine work!
