This is one of the gateways to the Cesky Krumlov and less common view of the medieval castle - group of buildings, which were the economic background of the castle - horse stables, smithy, icehouse, offices, apartments of officials and servants, hospital, ...
The whole area and interior of this large castle is open to the public. Walking through its four courtyards is an unusual experience, especially in the evening. There is very nice view to medieval town from the castle.
Cesky Krumlov is on the UNESCO World Heritage list since 1992.

I like how the buildings almost appear to be peaking out from behind the trees. Nice repetition of the roof shapes and colours.

Hello Jan and welcome to TE!
Thank you for sharing this lovely image of the castle and its story. The building looks attractive, particularly in the afternoon light. Good POV, colours, and clarity.

A lovely shot of one of my favorite places on Earth, Cesky Krumlov. I went to the Czech Republic when I was in high school in 1995, and a day trip here was a highlight of my stay. Interesting framing, taking in half the bridge leading into a tree which covers part of the cityscape - it has the effect of making the shot feel more like a discovery, which is nice, though I'd love to see a clearer cityscape as well.

You have captured some very nice light on the castle. A lovely exposure with detail in the sky and lovely sharpness on the stonework. A super POV and composition.

Marvellous capture of a small town - the clarity, a delightful composition, low arm light and subtle colours shows some bright and impressive sight. I love your focus with the stone bridge and the tree as natural framing, sharp and crispy with good scale with some wonderful specks of vivid colors as strong focal. The warm light hitting on those buildings is the most attractive part of this picture. Great shott, TFS

Jednou jsem byl ve městě a navštívili zámek v Krumlově - jsem byl nadšený. Město má svou vlastní unikátní atmosféru. Dobře zvolené POV, vynikající barvy a perfektní ostrost.
S přátelským pozdravem.

this is a lovely picture of the castle, caught in a stunning light with the sun illuminating the walls beautifully. your viewpoint is superb with the trees framing the scene and the bridge adding another layer to the image. excellent depth of field.

Yes, a different view of this castle indeed. When I was there so many tourists were gathered at the front, on the other side. But this view is just as pretty with the bridge leading your eyes toward the castle and buildings. Added, some trees and bushes to finish off the picture.

Vous avez capturer une trčs belle lumičre sur le château, le POV bien choisi, la netteté sur les pierres du vieux pont, belle réalisation

this is a very lovely atmospheric picture, clearly a well considered composition. I like very much the way the bridge divides the frame in two parts with very different light and colours that complement each other superbly, though. In the upper part, the glowing sky and luminous facades offer a dramatic and tense atmosphere while in the lower part there are calm colours and great tranquility. I also like the perspective, the sharp rendering of textures and the fascinating general impression. Congratulations and thank you!
All the best, have a good night,

I know Czech Republik quite well and indeed it is full of very picturesque towns and villages. This is truly beautiful architecture and well captured. I like the light on the buildings - it gives them pleasant warm shades. You composed everything very neatly and plenty of green livens up the wholeness.
All the best in New Year!

You're capturing well this place by a good angle and excellent tone/clarity, so it's interesting and impressive to see the group of buildings with red roof and white wall, the tasteful bridge and surrounding greenery. It seems to remain the atmosphere of medieval times as you note. And, the soft light inserted in a building draws out an additional good feeling in this image.
