Photographer’s Note
Cres (pronounced "Tsres" in Croatian, Italian: Cherso, German: Kersch, Latin: Crepsa, Greek: Chèrsos, Χερσος) is an Adriatic island in Croatia. It is one of the northern islands in the Kvarner Gulf and can be reached via ferry from the island Krk or from the Istrian peninsula (line Brestova-Porozina).
With an area of 405.78 km², Cres is, together with Krk which is the same size (but thought to be the largest for years), the largest Croatian island. The island has a population of 3,184 (2001).
Cres and the neighbouring island of Lošinj once used to be one island, but were divided by a channel and connected with a bridge at the town of Osor. Cres's only fresh water source is the Lake Vrana.

A photo which makes me want to be in that place is a good photo in my opinion and now I really want to see that place.
A hard photo to take and a beautiful result in the end.
Have a great day!

Hi Denis,

The light is so good that I am wondering what you have done in the foreground to be so clear. Also, the sky is wonderful with those high clouds in white light. Well done.

Wonderful sunset. Great colours in the sky - both the red sun and the clouds. I also like a lot the smothness of the moving waters. Well chosen subject on the foreground.

hello Denis,
excellent work, the sun is just in the right place to create a great focal point, and I like a lot how the lines formed by the rocks in the foreground and the cloud formation seem to point towards it. superb clarity and details, really fine work.

Kristine

Hi Denis,
I have a friend who is visiting her home of Croatia this summer and from this photo I can certainly understand why she would want to go back! This is a beautiful scene. I have heard so many wonderful things about the landscape in Croatia and this image certainly makes me want to visit the country even more. I am learning the language slowly... Anyway, excellent sharpness, nice light and great composition.
Hvala!

Hi Denis,
I like it ! Very well composed (rocks on the foreground, hills on the right, the sun on the left), and great colors, especially on the right of the sun and in clouds.

Zdravo Denis. Superb work. The combination of the dying sun soaked in red and the darkening, indigo sky is stunning. There are enough details in the foreground to make the whole composition rich and varied. Majstorski uhvaceno. Pozdrav. Klaudio.
