Photographer’s Note
Yes, there is no street for this interesting buildings next to the sea.
Rovinj - one of the most beautiful towns on the croatian coast of Istria. Once a rival of Venice for the hegemony of the Adriatic, this picturesque little town is attracting tourists from all over Europe and the world for its typically italian atmosphere (the old italian name of Rovinj is Rovigno) but also for the beautiful beaches surrounding it. I think that this is a must-see destination for every tourist in Istria/Istra.

Very nice perspective of view, Philip! I like the composition with the nice diagonal line of buildings with the calm waters at the edge. Good colours and sharpness!

Hi Philip,
I hope that the storms are rare in these regions because I would not be quiet at the ground floor !!! In all the cases the days of good weathers and I think that they are numerous, the sight seems splendid… Beautiful catch of sight of this seaside. The colors and the light are very beautiful, thank you Philip.
With all my friendships and a very good day,
Jean-Charles

Bonjour Philip
Un joli cliché avec ces constructions qui bénéficient d'une vue imprenable sur la grande bleue. Les couleurs sont nettes et bien saturées, l'angle de prise bien choisi.
Merci pour le partage et bonne journée.

Hi Philip,
You found a good spot to illustrate this (very!) seaside architecture. Isn't it a shame that sat dishes were invented. What a blight. Your image shows well, also the textures of the various building materials and methods in these neighbouring houses. cheers, Steve

Hi Philip,
I wonder if the tide ever goes up in this place. The building seem very attractive and its setting us superb. I do like this type of settings because they are very unfamiliar to me. Nice light and excellent zooming to get details. Thanks Philip.

Hi Phiulip!
you are right, Rovigno is a special place to visit. Old town is in a beautiful little peninsula, similar to Venice. And sea is nice there!
An enjoyable place in Istria.
In your picture I notice that some of old houses are restored.
Compliments!

Hello Philip,
Not at once the most beautiful houses, but lovely against the coast.
The big stones in foreground form a line as perspective too.
Maybe a little bit dangerous when coming storm on the fronts with the satelite antennas.
Nice composition and good presentation, TFS.
Have a nice weekend,
John.

Hello Philip
Quite similar to Venice with the setting. The satellite dishes & aircon to some extent mar the medieval scene. Like your compo. in a diagonal with the lovely contrast with the deep blue sea. Good work my friend!

HI PHILIP?
This is a pleasant scene; the moment of capture was good because of the reasonably soft light and resultant colour range.
