Hola Melinda:

The visual impact of this composition impresses me in B/W.... simple: a woman, his shade, a lamppost and the reflexes of the soil, is a good image with a lot of force. The black stripe of the right hand I her had tried to eliminate of the framing, in any case, congratulations friend.

Hallo Linda,
ein wunderschönes Beispiel für Gegenlicht. Das glatte Marmorpflaster in Dubrovnik it da eine ideale Spielwiese dafür.. eine schöne Stadt mit bewegter Geschichte, die sich drin spiegelt.

superb pic here with the long shadow and lighting. good BW rending too. and what I like the most is the composition with the bold straight line cutting towards the top. very well taken!

How could i miss such a nice gallery full of photos just going well with my taste!?!?
The use of light, the acstractism, the cold approach to human figuration and the ability of using the light for such a purpose! I love it. And the proportions of light and shade, are very good.

Like the strong lighting Melinda and the shadow and light on the stones. Just felt there was too much dark on the right hand side so have done an alternative in the workshop.

Liebe Melinda ... Du sprichst ja perfekt deutsch - how come? Deine Arbeit ist wahrlich meisterlich. Ich mag diesen Glanz auf der Strasse und dass man die Person kaum erkennt und fast nur als Schatten davon geht. Toll, dass Du das Gebaeude mit eingebunden hast und dann aber viel Raum fuer Strasse und Licht gelassen hast. Ich war mal in Dubrovnik vor ca. 100 Jahren :) aber ich habe das Staedtchen in bester Erinnerung. Da laesst es sich fotographieren, keine Frage. Mit Abendgruss aus Zuerich, Barbara.

Very artistic way to show it...and the same time I can feel the drama,the sad mood,the dark atmosphere.
Great eye for this composition,the long shadow of the girl,the conversion into B&W makes this shot so great.

Hi Melinda,
I enjoyed shots like this which encourages me to find some interpretation and interact with it. There is a good choice of pov and i like the layout of all the elements here. BW is a good choice and it makes this even more effective as some colours may be distracting. Well done!!
