A "not so usual" view of the City tower (Gradski toranj) on Rijeka's main pedestrian street Korzo. It was built where the old roman main town gate once stood, and has changed it's shape many times since... Baroque sculptures of Austrian emperors Leopold and Charles VI dominate the facade, but they did not "entered" into this picture. However, here's the town clock, it's first model dating back from XVII century (the present one is a bit more modern). Below the clock, there's the town's coat of arms, a "regular" two-headed eagle, but with it's heads peculiarly pointing in the same direction. The eagle holds a vessel with an "inexhaustible" flow of water, allegedly symbolizing eternal devotion of Rijeka's citizens to the emperor...
