Well exposed photo, good main subject, but the slope of the background spoils this for me.

Brilliant articulation of a complex story in a single image. Wide angle distortion gives equal emphasis to the troubled faces of the mother and child, and the outstretched hand. The fact that the woman stands alone in the frame makes it more powerful, while still implying the presence other bystanders. Framing, focus and exposure are right on (the skewed horizon doesn't bother me). Fantastic photojournalism! Wouldn't change a thing.

Very nice, something that might be seen in National Geographic. The angled edges of the bottom floor serve as a great backdrop, wide angle works perfectly.

a wonderful wide lens shot. I love her messy hair and the angle of all of it.

Both mother and child have such pensive looks. The angle of the shot emphsises the size of her hand, accentuating the title. Very good photojournalism style.

The distortion of the figure because of the wide angle lens, adds a lot to the distorted situation this lady's in. having the hand in front which is the most important organ of that lady is also original and adds a lot to the picture. The only down side is that it's obvious she's posing for you, and she is too tense. On the other hand I can say that she seems very human like this because no matter who we are, posing in front of a camera is never an easy thing.

unfortunately situation in my country is not well and many people are in need to begg and for some this is just a "job"...
I like the way she clearly showed you what she's doing and even though it's obivously that she knows you are here and maybe even possing for you. I don't mind that...
anyway really good shot
