Photographer’s Note
When I was a man I caught a fleeting glimpse
Out of the window of my train
I turned to look but it was gone
I cannot put my finger on it now
The train has moved
The scene has changed
And IIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII
Had become rather comfortable on this Italian train to Hungary, thanks
The only picture I've taken in Croatia, ordinary, but to me evocative.

i guess it was taken when you were in the car and the window somehow "reduced" the quality of the photo;
if not that, this picture would again have that charm accompanying your previous posts,
i'm sorry but this blurr and unsharpness limits strongly my liking of this image,

hi richard
Interesting bw variant. Simple daily life scene in this again very spartan waiting hall.
I am not convinced of the use of grain as there are so many bw options that had been as good for this one. Still, intereesting motif

The grainy b/w suits the description in the note - a fleeting glimpse. Is the train moving, or are unseen forces pulling the station slowly by? A great mood picture that makes one think about all the fleeting moments in life.
Cheers

Hi Richard! hope everything is fine. Some how I like the 'in hurry' feeling of this photo... the way the 'subjects' are place in the photos is nice as well... with each of them doing something and one person leaving the frame...
I think the BW conversion could have been a bit better.. IMHO... regards.
