Lubenice beach on Cres island outside high tourist season - a calm evening - total solitude. Incredibly beautiful place of Adriatic sea.

Pebbles on the bottom of the sea were made visible by a separate hand-held powerful flash shot (Metz, SCA300) directly into the water. Synchronization was not a problem, since the exposure was long. Scanned by Nikon CoolScan IV-ED. Cropped, the sky was blurred (Gaussian blur 1 pix radius), the sea surface sharpened (Unsharp mask 65%, 1 pix radius). No curves, contrast, or color manipulation. JPEG level 33 (Corel PhotoPaint notation).

Lovely shot. Perhaps just a hair dark, esp. in the rocks in silhouette. Also, not very fond of 50/50 sky/sea compositions, but the shot is very subtle and beautiful, and the =--pebbles--= wow! That's really cool the way you did that, and thanks for explaining the technique!

This is so simple and beautiful. The way the colours seem to glow from the horizon to the top of the picture. The two rocky islands seem to be almost in 3-D. I love it.

Excellent - plent of detail in the fore ground while getting a good silhouette and the depp colours of the sunset. The offset rocks amke the whole composition - breaks the thirds rule but is all the better for it

Very nice shot. I find the pebbles disturbing, and would have preferred you didn't add any fill flash there. But the shot on the whole is still nice enough for a big green smily.
