Photographer's Note

The Rector´s Palace is located in Old Town of Dubrovnik between the Church of St. Blaise and the Cathedral.The Rector's palace is a harmonious Gothic and Renaissance palace with certain Baroque additions.
Today the Rector's palace is the home to the history department to museum of Dubrovnik.

W kawiarni na tym placu o tej wla¶nie porze dnia w takim ¶wietle lampk± wina , no mo¿e dwiema uczci³em nasz pierwszy tysiac kilometrów na rowerze podczas rowerowego rajdu po Chorwaccji. Wed³ug mnie dubrownik jest najpiêkniejszym miastem na ¶wiecie, by³em nim zachwycony - jego magia i piêknem.

what a wonderful evening shot! I was there only during daytime and it was quite a crowded place so your photo is a nice surprise showing it in such detail and solitude. Love the clarity and sharpness of the image, the warm light is super. I visited the museum too, so thanks for bringing back those memories to me.

Looks like a desolate place at this blue hour. Beautiful architecture with the columns shining like gold. The deep blue sky makes an excellent color contrast. Nice shiny cobblestones.The open space gives a lot of depth.

I love how you have managed the light in this shot. There are bright and dark spots in this shot and they all look wonderful - particularly the lights inside the corridor - love how it lights up that section.

Good evening Krzysztof,
A fine night scene, especially the culumnada on left, illuminated and contrast to the dark areas on image.
Maybe a more frontal POV towards those pillars, would have overcome a skight lense distortion. But that normal - not too much of a burden.

Absolutely love the atmosphere in this image, this has a suspenseful movie quality about it...I'm expecting to see an undercover agent or spy lurking around the corner, just waiting for the action to commence. For a scene completely void of people, there's still a sense of anticipation here, which I believe is from your timing to capture this at the prime "blue hour," as day fades to night and a whole new vibe comes about. Sharp focus and precise detail in every facet of this shot, excellent take on this square! As if that's not good enough, the colors you've extracted and manged are sublime, it's a pleasing mix of artificial lighting and deep blue sky.
