Skradinski Buk, a photo from Sibensko-Kninska, Coast

Photographer's Note

A few kilometers from Sibenik, the site of Skradinski Buk is one of the most spectacular waterfalls in Croatia,and maybe of Europe. Here, the river Krka falls 45 meters through 17 waterfalls.

The Krka River is a karst river which flows into the Adriatic near Sibenik.

The site of Skradinski Buk is one of the jewels of the National Park Krka. It is superbly equipped for visitors through a path on wooden walkways. They meander through woods and lakes. Swimming is allowed at the foot of the waterfalls (the swimming area is bounded).

The easiest way to access Skradinski Buk is the entrance of Lozovac.

en effet ces cascades sont superbes au milieu d'une belle végétation et ses eaux cristallines.
Ta composition est une invitation à partager ces eaux et ce paysage avec ces baigneurs chanceux.

J'ignorais qu'il y avait de telles cascades en Croatie, on se croirait presque en Amazonie ou en Afrique... Quel cadre exceptionnel, et quel environnement verdoyant ! Par contre, si la zone de baignade est délimitée, je constate que quelques imprudents ont voulu voir les chutes de plus près ;0)

Ce sont des chutes magnifiques!
C'est une photo très belle et intéressante!
Le pdv choisi, la compo, les couleurs obtenues, les contrastes, la netteté et la gestion de la lumière m'ont plu beaucoup!

Hello Delphine:
This makes me remember the Iguazú Waterfalls, although they have another height scale. However, in Iguazú I never saw anybody taking a bath, as seen here. Is the water in this river hat in summer?
Regarding your comment in my past picture, I may say that the photo exposure time is not what determines the lightning's wideness and brightness in the picture, and that is because the thunderbolt has such a short lifespan, that it can't be really controlled how it will be finally seen in the resulting picture. Compare this with the same picture (same settings) without the lightning here.

le site semble extraordinaire en effet,les couleurs sont superbes,quel plasir ce doit être de se baigner ici.Je regrette juste la présence du périmètre de sécurité, mais ça, tu n'y peux rien.

Un endroit qui semble bien sympathique pour passer un bon instant. Les cascades sont superbes et j'aime bien comment elles contrastent avec la verdure autour. Un bon choix de POV.

Une très belle composition très équilibrée de ce lieu, les chutes bien visibles, l'encadrement végétal et l'animation avec les baigneurs, un très bon ensemble avec des couleurs très bien rendues.

What a lovely shot, so refreshing, the water looks so tempting, I just want to jump in. Beautiful and natural color, great light, excellent sharpness and clarity, the people in the water adds liveliness and it allow us to imagine ourselves being in the water.
