I wonder why, but the name of this village, high above the beautiful beach visible on the left, is Lubenice, what is the Croatian word for Watermelon. Thanks to Braca for the translation.

Dag, Gerrit. Je het een zeer goed gezichtspunt gekozen. Het toont ons hoe het dorp op de heuvel staat en boven de zee uitsteekt. Het contrast tussen het blauwe water en de rest van de foto is opmerkelijk.

POV and framing very well selecetd give a plesant balalnce btewwen the sea and the rocks covered vegetation. This composition give a nice diagonal. Incredible propsect nad colors and contrasts very well collected.

It does seem like an unusual namae for a village. Do they grow a lot of watermelons? ;D I like the way you have framed the image with a diagonal which almost goes directly from corner to corner.

A superb image, the way you have balanced your composition gives the impression of the never ending horizon on the left and the dramatic rocky coastline on the right.

Hi Gerrit.names of places can be strange and illogical. I doubt if they grow watermelon on this steep terrain. Anyway, the POV is impressive and the light a typical van der Linden( Dutch School of course). Regards. Klaudio.
