Photographer’s Note

I can't help to like the backsides of the city where the gables are not smooth and straight. In the ocean of stones a man is hanging the laundry to dry.

Gerrit, wonderful capture. The lines of the roofs and walls and the sub strata of the bricks is a wonderful set of lines for a composition, then add that to the man doing laundry and the juxtaposition of the the satellite dishes is just brilliant. Wonderful colors and fabulous deep shadows and crisp lines, great work.

A house-husband in Croatia! I wonder how common that is. I agree with you what good subjects these back-streets are for photography. It looks like good light with long shadows too.

Hello Gerrit.
How have you been?
I see that you've been travelling thru one of the countries I want to visit someday.
On this one the light 'hitting' the old brick walls sets all the mood, and what a warm one.
The only thing breaking is the man making the laundry on that day.
It's a very simple photo of a simple subject but surelly interesting too.
