Hi, George! Excelent "mood" you've captured in this pic! So interesting the parallel we can do between the 2 women (the statue and the real one)! Great composition and good eye for the ordinary world! Well done! Regards! Miguel.

I like the old guy on the steps, perhaps it would have been nice to see a little more of him.
But I like the composition with the two women from different eras - one with her goods on her head, the other with them in plastic bags. And the red umbrellas and sign lift the scene a little.
Interesting picture, well spotted!

An interesting contrast, well seen!
I just wonder... did you wait long for the live woman to occur, hehehe!
Well framed image with pleasant colours...
May a point of view where we could see more of the guy the other woman is looking at but that's just me!

Nicely seen urban scene, George, and it is interesting to see you posting different things from what you usually do. The contrast of art and reality between the two ladies is striking, but I think you could have moved a bit to the left so we could see the man as well.

I didn't realise that this was a statue until I opened this one. Nice street scene that you have captured here. Well Done!

An interesting scene, with a good composition.
A nice subject matter.

A funny subject, very lively taken. Both women are about the same age and I can easily imagine the live one dressed like the statue, just 50 or so years ago. Good colors and sharpness again.
All the best,

From the thumbnail I couldn't tell that it was a statue...not until I enlarged your photo. Very nice mirroring effect of the real and static. I really like the colors of the photo. The green outlines of the building in the rear make a great backdrop.
Very well done,

George, my friend, I looked at this piece yesterday with Christan, my wife (who also likes your work very much). This is a great moment, the old lady contemplating the statue. I didn't have my glasses on, so, like Sabyasachi, I thought she was real in the thumbnail. C thinks the guy looks a little creepy, so didn't agree with Pasternak (but was too polite to say so)....

Very nice picture! In the less "pixel" before opening it, I believed She was real. When I saw it, I have immediately thought to another picture in TE of ThomasL (where the woman is real).

Hi George. Interesting juxtapositioning of the two ladies, probably of similar age. Reminds me of the old ladies that I used to see as a boy, including my own grandmother, who used to balance heavy baskets on their heads. The other difference between the two is that the live one shops for most things whereas the one that used to be made many things at home, beginning with her trousseau. Well caught. Thought provoking shot. regards. Klaudio.
