Hello Katie
Welcome to TE! I am knew to photography as well and there is lots to learn. Good start here with this photo. The buildings have interesting architecture. It looks like there is history to this area. Good idea not to place the buildings right in the center of the photo. I like how you gave the sky more breathing room.
Take care,
Tosca

Hi Katie,
Welcome on TE.
Nice view over what seems to be a very well conserved waterfront city.
Unfortunately, the result looks a bit dark, something you could have corrected in your software, if not directly at the camera by bracketing or trying different exposure combination. As a landscape or cityscape deserves a small aperture to get optimal depth of field, you probably didn't had enough light so a tripod was mandatory.
Anyway, at this size, everything seems sharp and what I like best is the feeling of morning light at first rays.
Ciao!
André
