THE SEA ORGAN
"The Sea organ was constructed following the project of Nikola Bašic', an architect; it is positioned near the new cruiser port as a part of Zadar's Riva and is easily recognized as a specifically shaped part of the coast that consists of several stairs descending into the sea. The stairs extend for about 70 meters along the coast, and under them, at the lowest sea-tide level, 35 pipes of different length, diameter and tilts were put up vertically to the coast, rising aslant to the paved part of the shore and ending in a canal (a service corridor). On the pipes there are LABIUMS (whistles), which play 7 chords of 5 tones. Above the canal there are perforated stone stairs through which the sound comes out as the air is pushed by the sea."

Hi Jacques. I’ve never seen or even heard of these before, must be quite eerie to hear the music of the ocean. Nice capture. Good depth and perspective. Thanks for sharing.
Cheers, Paul.

Bonjour Jacques. The sharpness of the image is excellent and technically most informative as much of what you say in your notes you have also captured visually. Original. Amicalement. Klaudio.

Hello Jacques,

Bonjour Jacques, interesting exercise with textures and light. It seems that a part of the pavement decided to make a statement, defending the right to be diferent: "We want to be closer to the water!" ;-) This presentation is perfect to me. The WS is too enlighted.
amicalement,

Salut Jacques! Incredible HOW you see, such a great composition. Wet concrete with some parts already dry and the dark water of the sea on the side, amazing for me what came out, I find it wonderful like the idea of this architect with the sea organ, how nice to make such things possible. I really wonder how this sounds. Excellent, totally attractive. Best regards, Barbara.
