Photographer's Note

At the Golden Gate of Diocletian's Palace in Split is a monument proved quite Grgur Ninsky created by Mestrovic in 1929. It is worth a visit, because according to superstition rub his big toe on the foot will your dreams come true. This now well-worn finger hands of tourists. Grgur was a bishop who sought a formal introduction to the Croatian language the Catholic liturgy, which at that time was conducted in Latin.

Also near the Golden Gate are the remains of the pre-Romanesque church of St. Euphemia. The first information about the building dating back to the tenth century. Unfortunately, in 1877 burned. After the fire remained only part of the temple, bell tower and the Gothic chapel of St. Arnir. And such a state persists to this day.

This is a scan from negative.
