Photographer's Note
Hvar Island is called the Queen of Dalmatian Islands. This is the longest Croatian island (68 km), "drowning in the sun" (the sun is shining here by 2722 hours per year). Since ancient times is known for its strategic location, rich, interesting history, cultural and natural attractions abound especially in the holidays.
Not without reason it is said that Hvar is one of the most attractive islands in the world. Her captivating beauty and exotic fig and olive plantations, trees, cypress, pine, pine and vineyards. The crystal clear sea is several shades of blue, from bright ultramarine, the sapphire, turquoise, and dark blue.
In May, June and July fields of Hvar (we were there in June) are carpeted with fragrant purple carpet of flowering lavender. You can feel the scent of lavender in every corner of the island and "levanda, Ruzmarin, rakija and ulj" (lavender, rosemary, brandy and olive oil), you can buy almost anywhere.
Hvar attracts a unique cuisine, wine, olives and rosemary, so if you are a foodie, be sure to go to the small Croatian tavern, enjoy homemade meals there and listen to the old island songs.
Must go to a park overlooking the city. Winding paths, with many terraces overlooking the city and sea, we come to the top of the hill Sveti Nikola (228 m) to the sixteenth century fortress ©panjola. From here there is a view of the city, the bay and the nearby islands Pakleni.
From the open sea, island surrounded by the 11-km-long archipelago of uninhabited islands. The so-called Hell Islands (Pakleni Otoci) is a paradise for lovers of naked bathing, both sea and sun. There is in fact Europe's most famous nudist beach.
Hvar is a wonderful town in the coastal bay. In the city are churches of pale stone, low stone houses with wooden shutters, interior courtyards, where the vibrant social life, small, winding streets, which restaurateurs issue and barrel tables with white tablecloths. The city fades in time siesta, come alive again in the late afternoon and when the people begin nightly banquets and feasts.

Witaj Jozef,
przynajmniej to zdjecie "oszczedzil" moderator. Super panorama Hvaru,no i dodatkowo naprawde uroczy pierwszy plan z bujna roslinnoscia.Zwrocilem tez uwage na ta wysepke w oddali.Byles tam moze?Przypomina mi Lokrum u wybrzezy Dubrownika.
Pozdrawiam i zycze milego weekendu
