Photographer’s Note

Rab (Arbe in Italian) is one of the most beautiful islands in the northern Adriatic.

The island was sold to Venice in 1409. In 1813 it became part of the Autrian empire. In 1897 Croatian was made an official language. In 1918 Rab became part of the Kingdom of Yugoslavia. Tourism brought prosperity to the impoverished island.

Fantastic high pov here, overlooking the turquoise colored sea, that gradates to a deep blue. The person animates the scene & adds scale. Tfs
